Michael George

Alumnus Michael George graduated from UG in November 2010, with a BSc. major in Chemistry and minor in Biology. He is the recipient of the President’s Medal for the Best Graduating Bachelor’s Degree Student. Michael hails from Patentia on the West Bank of Demerara, where he attended the West Demerara Secondary School and graduated in 2005. He then went on to pursue A’ Level studies at St. Stanislaus College and graduated in 2006 as valedictorian. Presently, Michael is lecturing in the Department of Chemistry and volunteering teaching services at St. Stanislaus College. He aspires to further his studies in Food Technology or Chemical Engineering, and enjoys meeting new people and cooking in his spare time.
