Keith Evelyn appointed Honorary Consul to Belgium

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday accredited Hand-in-Hand Group of Companies CEO Keith Evelyn as Honorary Consul to Belgium at a brief ceremony at the ministry’s South Road office. A Government Inform-ation Agency (GINA) press release said Minister Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett handed Evelyn the accreditation documents. Evelyn is a Chartered Insurer who holds degrees in Banking Insurance and Finance from Sheffield Hallam University and Manchester University in the United Kingdom. He also holds a Masters degree in Business Admin-istration from the University of Liverpool, also in the UK. GINA said Evelyn is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB) (UK) and a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (FCII) (UK) and he has held the post of CEO at Hand-in-Hand for the last 15 years. He is also the past President of the Insurance Association of Guyana and the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club. Evelyn is also a director of the Berbice Bridge Company, E-Networks and Prestige Motors, the official BMW dealer in Guyana. Stabroek News Guyana Chronicle Online
